Van Project

The Coast Cruizers purchase a used Handicap Accessible Van every year.
We refurbish it and donate it to a family who really needs one.

2013:
The Coast Cruizers also presented a coast family, with a beautiful young daughter with special needs, a Ford van complete with a wheel chair lift. Many area sponsors donated to the effort and funds raised from club events made it all happen. The family was also presented with $1,000 Wal-Mart gift card and $325 check.

A new Hancock County Children’s Center just opened and car/motorcycle clubs all along the Gulf Coast pitched in to help fill the needs of the deserving. Saturday night July 12, during the Misfits Cruise-in, Coast Cruizers members, Hope Haven Children’s Services staff members, and cruise-in attendees looked on as Misfits President, Bobby Gavagnie handed the keys to Lora Mederos Executive Director, of the Hancock County Human Resources Agency.
There were so many folks who help finance the reconditioning of this van. Maybe you didn’t directly give to the van project but even if you just attended a cruise night or show you helped the cause.
Here is another example of where community clubs and origination’s help make a difference.
